Our Promise
Returns policy
Everything we send is made fresh and packed by hand. Here is how we handle it when something is not right.
Everything we send leaves our kitchen fresh, packed by hand and made to be opened at your table.
We do not accept returns
Because we make and ship perishable food, we do not accept returns, and we cannot offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. That applies to every jar and every box, opened or unopened. Once an order is on its way to you, it is yours.
We know that is a firm line, so here is the reason: a jar of soup mix, cookie mix or roasted almonds cannot be resold once it has left our hands, and food that has travelled is food we can no longer stand behind. We would rather be plain about that before you order than sorry about it afterward.
If something is not right
This is different, and it is always worth telling us about.
If your order arrives damaged, incomplete, or is not what you ordered, email hello@thegivingnut.com within 7 days of delivery. Send your order number and a photo if you can. We will make it right, usually by replacing what went wrong.
Orders we cannot deliver
If a package comes back to us because the address was entered incorrectly, we will get in touch. Reshipping costs the same as shipping did, so we will ask before sending it out again. Please double check the address at checkout, especially when a box is going somewhere other than your own table.
Cancelling an order
Orders move quickly once they reach the kitchen. If you need to change or cancel something, email us straight away and we will do what we can, but we cannot promise it once an order has been packed.
Gifts
A box sent as a gift is covered by this same policy, and we will always talk to whoever placed the order rather than the person who received it.
Questions before you order? Email hello@thegivingnut.com. We would rather hear from you twice than not at all.
